It bites in spots you’ve never felt.
Through socks and jeans it finds a way —
It’s mozzie hour. You’re the buffet.
You lather on the bug spray thick,
You light the coils, you try each trick.
But still they swarm and buzz with pride,
Like tiny jets in a bumpy ride.
And worst of all, they bring their mates,
A cloud of doom that congregates.
You wave and flap like you’re possessed —
The Aussie Salute, at your best!
So next time when the sun dips low,
And gentle winds begin to blow,
Remember, mate, don’t stand around…
Or a mass of mozzies will take you down!
